Sabrina and Mr Graeme 2010-2011

Mr. Graeme, Sabrina's Homeroom Teacher in 1B. Mr Graeme is from Scotland and he is back for good to his hometown after the school ends. So, before the school term end, Sabrina told me that she wants to give something to her teacher as souvenir.


Just a simple gift and not an expensive but it was with a sincere heart from Sabrina. A simple gift makes Sabrina happy for the whole day that she had somethig to give to her teacher. I took 2 days to paint the small MDF board with all the distraction around me. The ideas came from one photo when I surfed the net looking for inspiration.



The apple I painted refers to the book I bought a long long time ago, Handpainted Gifts for All Occasions by Kerry Trout from North Lights Books publisher.

Happy Father's Day

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to my dearest hubby. Luv u always n may our marriage lasts forever.




No special gift given but just a simple card that sabrina n me bought at one little shop in Wahdah Mall. A simple card says a thousand words. Sabrina's hand writing look just like the card's writing right ?

Tea set

My first painting on tea set, done for the Charity Bazaar. I'm very satisfied with the outcome eventhough the colors of the roses a little bit different from the original one before I put it in the oven.

The rose color become a little bit yellowish and became peach instead of white. You can see the difference between above picture n this picture. Overall I like it very much. Why must I heat it in the oven? The main reason is to make the painting permanent on the ceramic. And if you want to bake it, make sure you follow the paint manufacturer instruction. Some of the enamel acrylic paint can bake at range 150 degree n some paint at 180 degree. But for Enamel Acrylic Folkart, can bake at 180 degree, higher than Pebeo.

Do not afraid to bake your ceramic because the making of ceramic also involves baking in the oven.

Charity Bazaar

A Charity Bazaar was held at the Embassy of Malaysia hosted by The Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ladies Association of Abu Dhabi. The proceeds will be donated to Gulf for Good (G4G) charity expedition - The Wilds of Borneo Challenge which will take place in July.




There were lots of activities that took place such as sale of Malaysian Cuisine , silent auction, raffle draw, traditional dance performance, art exhibition and arts n craft sale. I contributed some of my work for sale which can be seen in the photo above. The items are teapot, cup n sauce, rose signage, frames, metal vase, small metal pail, wooden bear signage, small box and key box.

Hijab

This is not WIP ( Work In Progress )... but uncompleted project.I started hand stitched this hijab when I was in early pregnancy .. two years ago.





Until now, I'm not continued with it..busy with all the house chores. It is just a reason. Actual reason is LAZY. LAZY to do all my hobbies including painting. Gosh....I wish my good mood comes..so that..I can paint and do the embroidery.

Hand stitches embroidery

Sabrina's Eid dress with hand stitches embroidery. Actually the dress is for last year's Eid . The dress was plain when I bought it but I modified it with hand stitches embroidery n some beading. Sabrina said to me that she want the most beautiful embroidery than her sister. Hahaha...see..she become envy to her sister. Even she are in the state of jealousy with her sister but she love her very much. Take care of her sister, played with her and shower together. How sweet.

8th Anniversary

Yesterday was our 8th Anniversary. Thank You Allah for giving us opportunity to treasure the sweetness of our marriage. No celebration taken because hubby always busy with his work. He was not at home recently due to his overloaded work. I'm ok with that as long as he remember our anniversary.






As melayu quote, kasih hingga ke hujung nyawa....till death do us apart. Haila...why....I'm so sensitive/touching today. Is it because of weather ( here the weather so gloomy due to sandstorm) or is it just because of the gloomy of my heart. LOL. No matter what, i'm very happy n thankful to Allah for giving me 2 beautiful daughters. They are my sweethearts..buah hati pengarang jantung mama. Love u all very much.

24th January 2011 was Sabrina's birthday. She is 6 years old this year. Happy birthday to my lovely dovey Sabrina. We always love you. Be a good girl, listen to papa n mama. May this year bring with it all the success and fulfillment your heart desires. Wishing you all the great things in life, hope this day will bring you an extra share of all that makes you happiest. There are so much words to wish u but one thing u have to remember is that may you treasure ur life with open heart no matter how hard things are. You have been a great daughter.....love you so much.





My hubby bought this cake from Abu Dhabi Co operative, just after he came back from outstation...chocolate sponge cake. I'm so sorry my dear Sabrina, I could not bake a special cake for you. I'm too busy with Sara since papa was not home lately.

Maliki

Maliki... Sabrina's hamster. The name given by Sabrina. Last Wednesday was Maliki last day with us. Died after being sick for a few weeks. r. We bought her when Sara was born. Sabrina and hubby took care of her... clean her cage, play with her n bought some toys for her.





If you look at the above pictures how she squeeze her body to fit the hollow cylinder. When my hubby clean her cage, Sabrina will play with her...rolling the cylinder or enter the cylinder. Maliki sometimes will run all over the house meanwhile Sabrina will catch her. Now, everything is just a sweet memory. Good bye maliki. May you rest in peace.
