Flower Arrangement

Today's entry, I would like to share Flower Arrangement that I made..no decorative painting n no decoupage. Because of my daughter woke up late today around 1130 am so I have enough time to do new flower arrangement without any disturbances. Above photo is my new stuff...fresh from the oven...hehe. I put it at the side/corner of the sofa....but later I will change it frequently with my white roses below.

Yeah...finally...done. One whole day, I did the wording. A gift to my friend who will be going back to Malaysia for good.

Priscilla Hauser Ros

Yesterday, I did my painting on the signage board. Practiced roses by Priscilla Hauser based on Priscilla Hauser's Decorative Workshop Book.


Closed up of the painted roses n effect of the background of the signage board. I used crumpled plastic technique to do it...the steps shown inside the book.




Let me review this book. This book is very good for those who want to learn more about painting techniques especially beginner. Painting techniques such as stenciling, undercoating, working with modeling paste, stamping to create texture and more.This is a great source to teach people how to do so. It also shows how to paint on various of surfaces such as wood, metal, glass, ceramic, fabric and paper. I bought this book at Dubai Mall with the price of AED62. It is very cheap compared to other books.



Rose worksheet inside the book and there is also a leaf worksheet. For painting this rose.... I need little time to learn it because I already know some techniques required in this rose painting compared to Ros Singleton techniques. For Ros Singleton I need a few days to learn all the techniques to make it happen. But for both of the roses..I feel happy to do it.

My white collection get ready to make over but I don't know when the time will come to do the painting. I'm doing my painting based on my mood. I bought all the items from Ace Hardware in Festival City Dubai..it's a big store with a lot of cheap items.

I just wanted to share my old stuff, last 2 month ago. Painted on the surface of the goblet glass..is this correct name for this type of glass. Hehehehe. Whatever! LOL

Sape yg tagged kita nih

Kak Ana aka Kak MLC...huhuhuhu..kena tagged ler plak. Tapi takpe..ku sahut cabaranmu Kak Ana. So baca jer ler stori mori kita ni yek...yg x seberapa. Tentang diri

1) X suka memasak sangat tapi disebabkan duduk diperantauan...so kena juga memasak. Lagi2 makanan yg x terdapat kat sini. Bestnya kalu dok Mesia..semua segala jenis makanan ada..... Semua makan sebab kita nih jenis suka makan...tapi pelik x suka masak. Kelako kan?


2) Suka menghabiskan masa ngan bertenet n berym. Huhuhuhu..ntah apa2 ler surf kat tenet tuh. Kadang2 cari resepi kadang2 baca online news n kadang2 baca blog org.Sakit2 punggungku mengadap PC tapi x pernah serik. Sib baik x kena sound ngan hubby as long as kita buat keja rumah.


3) Seorang yg simple n sensitive. Kadang2 tu baca suratkabar especially berita kematian pun leh nangis. Kadang2 tu nengok apek tua kayuh basikal ker or bawa beca ker kat mesia..pun leh meleleh airmata. Sedih..kesian nengok. Kalu nengok cite..part2 kekeluargaan boleh bergenang air mata. Syahdu.


4) Suka berkawan n talkative. SEkali kalu berbual memang xingat dunia ler. Mulut tu asyik nak bercerita n bercakap mcm train..xder hentian. Non stop.


5) Paling suka nengok cite korea. X kisah pelakon dia cantik ker x...ensem ker x ensem ker .... asal jalan cite best.


Hobi

1) Suka buat crafting samada folkart ker, decoupage ker or sewing ker. Semua jenis crafting ler kalu boleh nak buat..termasuk ler buat patchwork or quilting. Tapi paling suka buat folkart sbb dari sekolah lagi suka melukis cuma x berapa lawa sangat melukis dibandingkan ngan kakak ngan abang iparku. Diaorg lukis x yah rujuk buku pun dah cantik sangat..lebih2 lagi lukisan abang ipar. Memang cantik sangat. Marbeles.

2) Suka shopping barang2 bertemakan english nih...sejak terjebak ngan English decoration kat forum sinun..just jadi silent reader jer coz xder benda nak disharekan. Lagipun segan nak menyampuk di sinun sbb xder brg. Hehehehe. Jangan mare.

3) Amat meminati pinggan mangkuk samada portmeirion ker, Royal Albert ker, Corell ker or pinggan lama bunga kangkung. Sekarang tgh mengumpul koleksi bunga kangkung..set makan n set tea. Tapi sib baik x berapa minat sangat koleksi crystal. Kalu ler minat crystal..alamatnya penuh ler display cabinet kat rumah sinun.


4) X boleh nengok barang2 yg bermotifkan bunga2 rose ni. Boleh jadi gila meroyan sekejap. X kira ler pinggan mangkuk ker, cadar ker, brg perhiasan rumah ker..atau apa2 aje lah yg ada motif bunga rose ni.Rasa mcm nak beli tang2 tu juga..tapi sib baik hubby ada kat sebelah..kalu x mau abis melayang duit.


5) Paling suka membaca especially buku cerita x kira ler BI or BM. Kita minat Judith Mcnaught..semua koleksi buku dia kita ada cuma yg latest xder dlm koleksi lagi sbb x kuar lagi version soft cover. Kalu buku bahasa Melayu..suka hasil nukilan dari Fauziah Ashaari n Norhayati Ibrahim.

WIP

My work in progress....painting roses at the back of frying pan. I haven't put the wording yet..I'm still looking for ideas. Any suggestion? Actually I would like to use it as a kitchen accessory n matches with the kitchen's theme of green and white and a little bit soft yellow.

Ros Singleton 2

Tried to do roses according to Ros Singleton book. I'm not satisfied with the roses I drew because they did not turn up to be as pretty as the roses in the book. Tried to do soft color roses recommended by Ros Singleton but cannot get it right. Eemmm...it is very difficult to paint rose actually. But practice makes prefect.

If you can see the rose buds...very ugly rose buds. Iskh...I'm really really not satisfied with this rose painting. Grrrrrr......

The dragon fly....learned from Donna Drewberry's book. The wording used Monotype Corsiva font.

Ros Singleton Book

My order from Ros Singleton website finally arrived last tuesday (2nd June). It took 2 weeks to arrive to Abu Dhabi. I'm so happy n very excited when I received this book from my hubby. I couldn't wait to start the rose painting. Inside the envelope, there are some additional stuff included such as order form, newsletter, 2 pieces of bookmarks and a note signed by Ros Singleton. In one day, I got 2 new n important things. One of them of course this book n the other one is a Coach purse. Gift from my husband for Mother's Day.

Decoupage Plate

Last week decoupage project. I made it using melamine plate. I used doily shape for the background of the wording. How to make it..simple as ABC

1) Basecoat exterior of the plate with white gesso. Let dry
2) Adhere doily on the center of the plate.
3) Moisten the sponge with water and squeeze out all the excess water
4) Dab or press sponge several time onto the pink paint.
5) Dab the sponge on the surface of doily. Make sure dab on the expose area of the doily.
Let dry
6) Peel out the doily
7) Finish.

Home Sweet Home

Another decoupage using rosemary rose tissues (if I'm not mistaken for this type of rose). Signage for my front door. Some folk art touch for the stems n red small flowers. Pink outline for the edge of the rose to make it more prominent. And also 3D butterfly.


I used trace n transfer method for the wording. Firstly, I typed the wordings in Word Art and printed it out. Secondly, I traced n transferred the wordings onto the wood surface. Lastly, I painted the words using liner brush.
